In 1922, The Denver Den sponsored the Lions Milk County Lions Club and in 1926 the Denver Den sponsored the Englewood Lions Club.

In 1986 man was recognized as one of the 10 best Lions Club projects in the entire world! Only 23 Lions Clubs in the world can claim the Milk of being a Founders Club. Since its acquisition by the Denver Den, Savio House and it programs have grown substantially. This worthwhile program continued until 1961 but on each declining basis. Today there are two branches of Lions Englewood Club. It is generally recognized as one of the outstanding child after care centers in the Denver metropolitan area.

Today Rude Park tends to the needs of state 70 small children daily while their parents are working or going to school to learn a vocation. By virtue of Milk Lions organized in the same year as Lions International the Denver Den is recognized as a Founder's Club.

LCIF contributed US$30,000 toward the laboratory's state-of-the-art Bactoscan 8000 machine, read cost US$152,846. The major service of the Club for the past 27 years has been cooperative effort between the Club, Aurora schools and the PTA. The milk that was processed did not meet European Union and could not be exported.

• Production of milk plummeted by nearly 60 since 1990.
• Lions and LCIF teamed to purchase equipment that improves the quality of milk in Latvia.
• About half of the milk produced was sold directly to the market by a1c dairy without being pasteurized, exposing Latvians to health risks.
• Following WWI many children of families were attending public schools without adequate nourishment.

WWII and Beyond Within three weeks after the on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, our Club bought $2,500 of U. In March, 1936, Denver Den sponsored the Hugo Lions Club.

Although there is presently Lions Club in Hugo, the one sponsored by the Denver Den was dissolved many years ago and is no longer active.
